Default Shadow Steps

My friend is making a ritualist, but has an assassin question. He wants to use Rupture Soul with assassin skills to get the heck out. Which ones would you recommend? I think guildwiki is kinda out of date on recharges and all. So far I think Scorpion Wire looks best? He don't care about the effects, he just wants to get in and out... preferably without AoD.

well if he places his spirits far apart he can use Spirit walk which teleports you to target spirit, so he can spirit walk to the spirit he is going to rupture, then he can spirit walk back to another spirit he placed somewhere else.

What Kijik said.
No one uses Scorpion Wire, the duration will run out before they get far enouph away. Unless you run the other way, but that makes the whole thing seem pointless.

Yes.. that's what I mean, going the other way. I guess I forgot to mention this is for PvE? Spirit Walking both ways wouldn't work, he'd have to run up to the mob, which is why he's trying to figure out which shadow step would work best.

you could also use dual recalls, maintain a recall on your tank, and one on your monk, when th tank takes aggro, end the enchant linked to him, when he is done casting his spirit end the enchant linked to the monk, it'll take a bit of concentration and preparation but it works.

Hm, that could work. I had forgotten about that skill. Isn't there another shadow step that has like a 10 second recharge, though? Or am I just crazy?

You're thinking of the elite Aura of Displacement. That's definately the best shadow step in the game. They raised the reset from 10 to 20 for absolutely no reason though.

hmm, that reminds me of my lovely Spirit-Hunter A/Rt. Spirit Walk+Consume Soul on enemy spirits spammers=angry Ritual Lords

but if he preferably wants to not use AoD, he might be outa luck, but the dual Recall is always nice

Okies, thanks for all the replies guys, you're all very helpful.

If you ever need a halfway decent monk on a mission, feel free to add me.

Hm we might now be allowed to anymore... XD

I've had this avatar forever, my ex ex ex made it for me for AIM, and I used it on here too.

Monking is def. my favorite thing to do in gw though, and I don't think I'm terrible at it.
